Across the state of Arkansas there is a great need for foster families. A staggering 4,657 children found themselves in the foster care system at the end of 2021. Currently there are only 1,683 foster families statewide. Unfortunately, children may have to relocate across the state because there is no local foster family to care for them. Our goal is to build relationships and reduce trauma children experience by pursuing continued connections with family and friends as much as possible.
Family Ministries opened our first Foster Home in October 2019 and is committed to caring for children and families. Currently we have 3 foster homes on our Young Home campus and can license potential foster homes in Area 2 which includes the following 7 counties:
